An 83-year-old man has died after being struck by a pickup truck in the car park of a petrol station in Rockville, Maryland.
Charles S. Lazar was taken to hospital following the collision on Friday morning. Police said his condition worsened overnight and he died from his injuries on Saturday.
A preliminary investigation found that Mr Lazar was walking towards his parked vehicle when a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado pulled away from a fuel pump and hit him.
The driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.
No charges have been announced. The investigation into the fatal collision remains ongoing.
