Arsenal are being linked with January moves for Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi and Brentford winger Kevin Schade as Mikel Arteta considers further attacking reinforcements.
The Gunners pursued several high-profile targets during the summer but missed out on Morgan Rogers, Vinicius Junior and Julian Alvarez. Reports suggest the club could return to the market when the transfer window reopens.
Arsenal transfer interest in Eli Junior Kroupi
Kroupi is currently sidelined by injury, but his form for Bournemouth last season has reportedly made him a player of interest to Arsenal.
The 20-year-old scored 13 Premier League goals, including the decisive strike against Manchester City that secured Bournemouth’s place in Europe. That result also helped Arsenal win the Premier League title.
His ability to strike the ball, operate in different positions and his age are understood to be among the qualities that could make Kroupi an attractive option for Arteta’s side, provided he returns to his previous level after recovering.
Arsenal’s need for greater attacking impact has also been highlighted by the early-season struggles of Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze, with both players reportedly viewed as areas where improvement may be required.
Kevin Schade remains a possible target
Schade has also been associated with Arsenal after reportedly being considered by the club during the summer. At that stage, the Brentford winger was viewed as too expensive.
It remains unclear whether Arsenal’s position will change in January, but Schade could come back into consideration if concerns over Eze’s form continue. The German would offer another potential option in attack as Arteta assesses his squad.
