Nicolas Raskin could make a January move to the Premier League, with Aston Villa and Hull City reportedly interested in the Rangers midfielder.
The 25-year-old Belgium international joined Rangers in 2023 and has steadily become a dependable figure in their midfield. His performances have since attracted attention from clubs in England.
Raskin was expected to leave during the summer after impressing at the World Cup, but Rangers managed to retain his services. The latest speculation suggests his departure may only have been delayed.
Nicolas Raskin’s Premier League move could come in January
A report linking the player with Villa and Hull claimed that a move to England remains the most likely next step in his career.
“Those close to the Belgian picture now believe the Premier League remains his most likely destination, and that it will come sooner rather than later,” the report said.
It added: “Raskin has long spoken of wanting the next step in his career; he confirmed after the window that he had been mentally ready to leave, while stressing that timing and personal factors had to align.”
A January transfer would represent an earlier opportunity than is usual for a player who stayed at his current club during the summer window. Aston Villa are understood to be rebuilding the core of their team and are considered the leading contenders at present.
