Barcelona have reached an agreement in principle on a new contract for Raphinha, with sporting director Deco confirming that the deal is expected to be signed soon.
The agreement would extend the Brazil international’s stay at the club until June 2030. Raphinha has started the season in strong form, recording 11 goals and three assists in seven appearances.
“We have an agreement in principle, it will be signed soon,” Deco said.
The new arrangement follows a productive period for Raphinha, who has continued his form from last season while leading Barcelona’s attack under manager Hansi Flick.
Marc Bernal also set for a new Barcelona contract
Barcelona are also close to securing the future of home-grown midfielder Marc Bernal, who has established himself as an important squad option over the past 12 months.
Bernal has agreed a long-term contract running until June 2031, with the agreement reached between his representatives and Deco. The midfielder is expected to sign next week and will receive a salary increase.
The two deals would give Barcelona further long-term security as the club continue to develop their squad under Flick, with Bernal representing another product of the club’s La Masia academy.
