Brenda Song has shared a glimpse of a romantic birthday getaway in Mexico with her fiancé, Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin.
The actress posted a series of photographs from San José del Cabo, showing the couple relaxing at a luxury resort and celebrating Culkin’s 46th birthday, which fell on 26 August.
In one photograph, Song kissed Culkin as they sunbathed by the beach. Other images captured the pair enjoying dinner beneath the stars, playing Yahtzee and making the most of the resort’s spa facilities.
Song, 38, also showed Culkin surrounded by an elaborate display of birthday balloons inside their suite, while another photograph appeared to show the couple enjoying the coastline around the Sea of Cortés.
The Instagram post was accompanied by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ song Islands in the Stream. Tags indicated that the couple were staying at Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in San José del Cabo.
The resort describes itself as a coastal retreat where the Baja desert meets the Sea of Cortés. Its official site lists 113 rooms, suites and villas, as well as spa facilities and ocean views. Song and Culkin, who have been together since 2017, became engaged in 2022. They are parents to two sons, Dakota, five, and Carson, three.
The private celebration came as Culkin was linked to a possible return to the role of Kevin McCallister in a new Home Alone project.
Entertainment journalist Matthew Belloni reported on his podcast The Town in July that Culkin had been seen at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, amid discussions about a potential new film. Disney was said to be keen to bring him back to the franchise, although no project has been formally announced. Culkin later appeared to play down the speculation in a response shared by TMZ, writing: “Y’all are out of your mind.
