The Billy Evans shower scene in the documentary You Can See Everything was filmed after he volunteered to shower in front of the production team, co-director Lance Oppenheim has said.
Evans, the partner of Elizabeth Holmes, is shown returning home after a gym session before stripping and entering the shower. The film then pans up his fully naked body before he emerges with a towel around his waist and nearly encounters filmmaker Nathan Fielder outside the bathroom.

Oppenheim said the production spent a month filming inside Holmes’s house, working for up to 16 hours a day. The team was permitted to film everything except “privileged legal calls”.
“You get to their house, and her computer’s open. All of her emails are open. Her journal is open on the side of the couch,” Oppenheim said in an interview.
He explained that, after accompanying Evans to the gym, he asked what the rest of his day involved. Evans replied that he needed to shower, and then got undressed and stepped into the shower before Oppenheim could suggest a less revealing approach.
“It seems like he really had something he wanted to show to us and to the world,” Oppenheim said.
The scene contributed to the film receiving an R rating for graphic nudity. It is presented early in the documentary and is followed by further unexpected moments, including Evans discussing his views on a controversial political figure.
