Liam Rosenior was involved in a confrontation with Strasbourg supporters after Paris FC secured a Ligue 1 victory against his former club on Saturday afternoon.
Paris FC had taken control of the match, moving two goals ahead while registering six shots on target to Strasbourg’s one. The result continued their impressive start to the season and left them second in the table.
Rosenior, who had previously coached Strasbourg, left the club for Chelsea before taking charge of Paris FC in the summer. His departure has continued to anger sections of the Strasbourg support, who taunted their former manager throughout the match.
Rosenior confrontation follows Paris FC win
After the final whistle, Rosenior walked towards the Strasbourg supporters and appeared to gesture towards them. Footage shared online then showed an angry exchange, with the situation escalating into a brawl.
One message accompanying the footage warned Rosenior not to forget the return fixture, while another described him as visibly furious as he passed the Strasbourg section.
The incident took place at Paris FC’s stadium, meaning Rosenior will face the same supporters again when the two sides meet in Strasbourg later in the season.
For now, Paris FC are flying high in Ligue 1, with Rosenior’s side having made a strong start despite the disruption surrounding his move from Strasbourg.
