A Haines City police officer has been arrested in Orlando on suspicion of driving under the influence and reckless driving, with booking records stating that he was using a department patrol vehicle at the time.
Joseph Jabar Everett, 29, was booked into the Orange County jail on Saturday, 17 October, after being arrested by Orlando police, according to Orange County Corrections records. Haines City Police Department said Everett was off duty when he was arrested but was in a marked patrol vehicle. He joined the department in July 2026.
Everett previously worked for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and was arrested on a separate DUI allegation in June 2024 after reporting for duty. That charge was later dropped, and he was not convicted in the case. ([fox13news.com](https://www.fox13news.com/news/polk-county-deputy-arrested-dui-charge-while-duty))
