In a February interview with The Cut she explained how her recent role in crime thriller film Crime 101 ‘rang so true for me’.
In the 2026 movie she plays a middle-aged insurance broker who takes advantage of her beauty when it comes to closing deals with wealthy clients.
‘You get to this age where you feel like you’re being marginalized, devalued. You feel it at work. You feel it from society,’ she said when asked about the role.
‘But I have adamantly decided I am not going to allow myself to be erased. That’s why I’m on my menopause mission. I’m going to be louder than I have ever been.’
Halle has been using her platform in recent years to advocate for women’s health, which she says ‘feels like a formidable cause for my second act.’
In February 2025 she pivoted her wellness platform Respin to focus specifically on menopause care.
She explained last year during a roundtable interview that she has been told that ‘Being an actor, you don’t want to start talking about menopause.’
‘And I’m like, “But my age is printed before my name every time I read. So it’s not like I can hide it and why should I?”‘

‘I’ve had a 30-year career being an actor, but what empowers me and what feels really good is I can take my second act,’ the actress continued. ‘It’s been the joy of my life in so many ways, but taking the second act and really focusing it on women’s health, I can’t think of a better way to spend my next chapter of my life.’
Halle has been in a relationship with her fiancé, musician Van Hunt since 2020 and is a proud mom to daughter Nahla, 18, who she shares with her ex Gabriel Aubry and son Maceo, 12, with ex-husband Oliver Martinez.
Despite having three prior divorces, the actress is ready to walk down the aisle again with Hunt.
‘I felt like I’d had enough and just wanted to have my career and raise my children and I would be good,’ she reflected during a February 2026 appearance on the podcast Sex with Emily.
‘But I realized that the minute you get good and you stop chasing that thing – I realized chasing that thing is what always allowed me to make the wrong choices.
‘When I gave up and I said I’m going to prioritize myself, my life, my well-being, my second act… that’s when the perfect person showed up,’ she explained.
