Jaime Pressly has spoken warmly about her seven years on Mom after creator Chuck Lorre criticised Anna Faris in a new book.
The CBS sitcom ran for eight seasons from 2013 to 2021, with Pressly starring alongside Faris, Allison Janney, Mimi Kennedy and Beth Hall.
Lorre wrote that he did not believe Faris was the right choice for the series and said her departure before the final season confirmed his original instinct.
Speaking to E! News, Pressly focused instead on the bond between the cast and crew, describing her former co-stars as “beautifully flawed” like the characters they played.
“I was there for seven years, but there [were] eight seasons,” the Emmy-winning actress said. “I came on in the second season, but I had seven wonderful years of working with an incredible crew and an incredible cast of women, who were, all of us, just as beautifully flawed as our characters on the show were.”
Pressly added: “And I think I just really thoroughly enjoyed being able to go to work with girlfriends every day. All of us of a certain age, it was nice. It was refreshing.”
Faris has also recently discussed what led to her exit from Mom.
