Jennifer Aniston’s boyfriend Jim Curtis has spoken about the couple’s relationship, saying he was “not searching for love any more” when they first met.
The wellness coach said he and the actor had built a friendship over several months before their romance began, describing their connection as more natural and less driven by need.
“There was a many-month friendship first,” Curtis told The Sunday Times Magazine.
He added: “The drive was more natural, more organic, less needy. In the past I’ve felt this idea of, ‘I need you to be in love with me …’ I wasn’t searching for love any more.”
Reflecting on the relationship, Curtis said: “And what do I feel now? I feel real joy, real presence, real calmness, real partnership.”
Romance rumours surrounding Aniston and Curtis first emerged in May 2025. The Friends actor later made their relationship public on Instagram last November, when she shared a black-and-white photograph of herself embracing Curtis from behind to mark his birthday.
She captioned the image: “Happy birthday, my love. Cherished ❤️.”
Curtis, who is also described as a hypnotist, shared photographs from his birthday celebrations, writing in one post: “50 and feeling good! Birthday recap part 1. Thank you for all the wishes and love. So grateful for you my friends, family and community.”
In another post, which included a wider view of the photograph shared by Aniston, he wrote: “If this is a dream I don’t want to wake up. ❤️.”
The couple recently appeared together as Aniston hosted a question-and-answer session with Curtis to promote his book, The Book Of Possibility.
Sources have claimed that the pair have moved beyond the early excitement of their relationship and are developing what they described as a genuine partnership. They were also said to be more trusting and less guarded with one another.
The same claims suggested that Aniston’s friends had been impressed by how naturally their lives had blended, despite coming from different worlds, and believed Curtis’s distance from the entertainment industry had helped their relationship.
