Pamela Warner has accused her late son Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s widow, Tenisha Warner, of ending her relationship with her granddaughter, MacKenzie Warner, following the actor’s death.
The allegation was made in court documents filed amid a dispute over the estate of the actor, who died on a trip to Costa Rica in July 2025.
Pamela said she had no “ill-will” towards Tenisha and claimed she was unclear about what was driving the legal battle, which she said had been prolonged over the millions Malcolm left behind.
The filing also addresses a dispute over a home in Los Angeles. Tenisha had accused Pamela of selling a property she said Malcolm intended to give to her and their daughter.
Pamela disputes that account, saying Tenisha had misrepresented the circumstances of the sale. She said the estate could not afford the property’s continuing carrying costs, which amounted to $9,000 a month.
Pamela also criticised Tenisha’s position that she should receive nothing from her son’s estate.
The legal dispute began after Tenisha claimed Pamela was relying on a trust that did not include either her or MacKenzie.
Pamela has reached a settlement with MacKenzie’s guardian in an attempt to resolve the matter without Tenisha’s involvement, and is asking the court to approve the agreement.
