A 45-year-old man has been arrested after investigators seized hundreds of prescription pills, 10 firearms and nearly $16,000 during searches of two properties in Macomb County, Michigan.
Mark Cholagh, of Macomb Township, was detained on Thursday, September 17, following an investigation by the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office Sheriff’s Enforcement Team and Warren Police Department detectives.
Search warrants were carried out at a property in the 22000 block of Shane Drive in Macomb Township and another address in the 5000 block of Paladin Drive in Shelby Township.
According to the sheriff’s office, officers recovered hundreds of oxycodone and amphetamine pills, $15,898 in cash, drug paraphernalia and packaging materials.
They also seized three rifles, seven handguns, firearm magazines and ammunition.
Cholagh was arraigned at 41A District Court in Shelby Township on charges including the alleged delivery or manufacture of a controlled substance involving between 50 and 449 grams of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic.
He also faces a separate controlled-substance delivery or manufacture charge involving Schedule 1, 2 or 3 substances, as well as a felony-firearm charge.
Bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety. The sheriff’s office said Cholagh posted bond and was released while the case proceeds through the courts.
He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
