Bridget Marquardt has urged Jessica Biel to remain in the upcoming Playboy film, after Crystal Harris privately asked the actress to reconsider taking on the role of Hugh Hefner’s wife.
Speaking on The TMZ Podcast, Marquardt said she believed Harris was seeking attention by messaging Biel and argued that the actress should not feel obliged to respond or withdraw from the project.
Harris contacted Biel through direct messages and cited what she described as “troubling concerns regarding minors”. She also alleged that she had experienced sexual, emotional, financial and physical abuse during her marriage to Hefner.
Those claims have not been independently examined in the material available. Harris married Hefner in 2012 and remained with him until his death five years later.
Marquardt, who appeared alongside Hefner’s other girlfriends Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson on the reality series The Girls Next Door, dismissed the idea that Biel should be deterred by the message.
Biel has been cast as Hefner’s wife in Playmates, but the character is fictional. She will not be portraying Harris or any of Hefner’s other real-life wives.
