Android users can pick up a wide range of discounted games and apps on Google Play, with several titles available free of charge or for as little as 25 cents during the current promotions.
The latest deals include horror game Backrooms for free, down from 50 cents, while Voltshadow has been reduced to 25 cents from $1. Monster Killer Pro – Shooter, Undead Slayer: Offline Premium, Box Head: Roguelike Premium and Neo Monsters are also free, having previously cost up to $1.
One of the more substantial reductions is QR and Barcode Scanner PRO, which is currently free rather than $6. Astronomy app SkySafari 8 Plus has fallen to $13 from $18, while the strategy game Trudograd is available for $3 instead of $11.
Google Play Android game deals
The acclaimed atmospheric platform game LIMBO is priced at 50 cents, compared with its usual $4. Other game discounts include WINCH IT OUT at 75 cents, down from $3; Aces of the Luftwaffe Premium at $1 rather than $3; and Tiny Terraces at $1 instead of $2.
Exolotl: Zian has been reduced to $1 from $3.50, while Fighting Fantasy Legends, Deathtrap Dungeon Trilogy and Cat Lady each cost $1.50, half their regular prices. Role-playing game Fairy Knights is also $1, down from $4.
Further offers include Outflow at $2.25, compared with $4.50; Unbroken Soul at $1.75 rather than $5.50; and Radiant: Guardians Of Light at $2 instead of $5. Crystal Journey costs $1, while the Queen of Mirage has fallen to 50 cents from $5.50.
Adventure title Out There: Ω Edition is available for $2.50 rather than $5, and My Child Lebensborn is down to $2 from $3. Super Dark Deception has been reduced to $4 from $8.
Several other games are available free or at reduced prices. They include Zombie Age 3 Premium: Survival for free, Math Shot for free rather than $2, and Guardian War: Ultimate Edition at no cost instead of $1.
Dungeon Shooter: Dark Temple is free, down from $3, while Empire Warrior: Tower Defense and Police Department Tycoon Pro are also free. Hero Z TPS costs $2 rather than $4, and Seoul Exorcist 1111 is available for $2.75, reduced from $7.
Other discounted games include WindWings: Galaxy attack Pro at 25 cents; Buff Knight: Offline Idle RPG at 50 cents; Dungeon Warfare at 75 cents; and Dungeon Warfare 2 at $1.25. Hero of the Kingdom: Tales 1 costs $2 instead of $7, while Halls of Torment: Premium is $3.50 rather than $5.
Black Border 2 is currently free, and Lunatic Whispers has been cut to $3.25 from $6.50.
Android apps and icon packs on offer
Users looking to customise their phones can claim several icon packs for free, including Win Metal, Lumbre, Win10 Flat, Blue, Win Circle, Material You Square and Squarecut. Their usual prices range from $1 to $1.50.
Other icon-pack offers include Blueberry and Samak Blue at 25 cents each, down from $1. WhatsArt and Square Clear are also 25 cents, while Fledermaus – Square Icon Pack is free instead of $1.50. Cubik costs 25 cents, and iOS Liquid Glass is available for 75 cents.
Music-production apps are included in the discounts. Cubase iC Pro is priced at $10, reduced from $17, while Cubasis 3 – DAW & Music Studio has fallen to $18 from $30.
The offers arrive as major Labor Day sales continue at Amazon and Best Buy, although Google Play pricing and availability can change. A separate Best Buy promotion also includes open-box “excellent” Google Pixel 11 series phones, with selected models discounted by up to $320.
