A 17-year-old has been treated and released from hospital after being shot in the leg following a high school football game in Ocoee, Florida.
The shooting happened at about 9.24pm on Friday, October 2, after the game between Ocoee High School and Jones High School had ended. Ocoee police said several fights broke out in the school car park before shots were fired.
The injured teenager was taken to hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Officials said the victim was not affiliated with either of the schools involved in the game.
Orange County Public Schools said the stadium was placed on lockdown while officers responded to the incident. The district said event staff and law enforcement acted quickly to help protect those still inside the venue.
Ocoee police have released body-worn camera footage showing officers assisting the teenager after the shooting. No arrests have been announced.
The investigation remains active. Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Ocoee Police Department.
