Actor Noel Clarke has been charged with six sexual offences allegedly involving five women, the Metropolitan Police said.
The 50-year-old, who lives in Kensington, west London, faces two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure. The alleged offences are said to have taken place between 2007 and 2016.
Clarke was charged on Wednesday, 9 September, after the Crown Prosecution Service authorised the Metropolitan Police to proceed following an investigation which began in September 2025.
He was first arrested on 25 September last year and was later interviewed by detectives as inquiries continued.
Clarke is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 21 October.
Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney, who is leading the investigation, said the women linked to the charges were continuing to receive support from specially trained officers.
He urged anyone who believed they had been a victim of sexual assault to contact police, saying information would be handled “with the utmost sensitivity”.
Bethan David, Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS London, said prosecutors had concluded there was sufficient evidence to bring the case to court and that it was in the public interest to do so.
She said the CPS had worked closely with the Metropolitan Police, and reminded the public that proceedings were active and Clarke had the right to a fair trial.
The charges come months after Clarke lost a legal action against the publisher of the Guardian over reports of alleged sexual misconduct. He was ordered to pay at least £3 million in legal costs and was declared bankrupt in December.
