Presley Gerber has died aged 27 while receiving treatment at a rehabilitation facility, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has confirmed.
No cause of death has been established. An autopsy has not yet been carried out, and no further details have been released.
Gerber had previously spoken publicly about difficulties with alcohol after being arrested for driving under the influence. More recently, he discussed medication he had been prescribed and his mental health.

His sister, model Kaia Gerber, addressed his struggles in a September 2026 cover story for Vogue, which described a “decade-long struggle with drug addiction”.
“When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone. I think that’s also why I started to self-identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help,” she said. “Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing.”
She added: “My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything—and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, ‘I’m gonna be very human for everyone.’ There’s only so much you can hide from the world. And trying to put a lid on something just makes the person feel like you’re ashamed of them.”
The interview said Kaia was “deeply proud of him”.
