Wet weather is forecast for Fremantle on Saturday as Dockers fans prepare to watch their team face Brisbane in only the second Grand Final in the club’s history.
Up to 8mm of rain is expected across the Perth metropolitan area, with temperatures reaching 20C after an overnight low of 9C. Supporters heading into Fremantle’s CBD to watch the match on big screens are likely to need rain jackets.
Crowds are expected to gather across the port city, including at Fremantle Oval and along the Cappuccino Strip.
Fremantle weather forecast for Grand Final week
The week will begin with sunny conditions in Perth, with a high of 23C on Monday following an overnight low of 12C. Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny, with temperatures reaching 22C.
Showers could arrive on Wednesday, when 1mm of rain is forecast, while Thursday is expected to be partly cloudy with a similar top of 22C.
Conditions are forecast to turn wetter on Grand Final Eve, with a drizzle and up to 4mm of rain expected on Friday as the temperature reaches 20C.
Showers are also forecast for Sunday, with temperatures ranging from 9C to 20C.
