Rebel Wilson attended the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of her new film, Girl Group, with her mother Sue Bownds, as the pair drew attention for their striking resemblance on the red carpet.
The 46-year-old Australian actress and her 69-year-old schoolteacher mother appeared together at Friday’s screening, both dressed for the occasion.
Bownds wore a silver and black gown decorated with a floral motif and sparkling details. She styled her blonde hair in soft waves, adding diamond jewellery, pale heels and make-up featuring heavily lined eyes and pink lip gloss.
Wilson chose a plunging, off-the-shoulder black gown with a silver-encrusted neckline. She completed the look with a black handbag and heels, wearing her blonde hair loose around her shoulders.
Girl Group marks a significant creative role for Wilson, who writes, directs and stars in the film. She plays a former pop star who begins coaching a group of teenage girls ahead of an audition that could secure them a record deal.
Wilson joined her co-stars at the screening before posing with her wife, Ramona Agruma. The couple enjoyed a rare evening together while their two children stayed at home.
Wilson and Agruma, 42, are parents to daughters Royce, three, and Rose, who is four months old. They announced Rose’s birth in May, saying she had been born on May 4.
In a joint Instagram post, the couple wrote: “Proud to announce the birth of our 2nd daughter Rose Estelle!”
“What a gorgeous blessing to have another little girl! Now on May 4th, it’s four of us! Ramona and I are feeling so incredibly grateful and blessed to grow our family, thank you everyone for all the well wishes.”
Wilson and Agruma married in Sardinia, Italy, in September 2024, with Royce serving as their flower girl.
