Milwaukee Brewers legend Ryan Braun has reacted to the team’s dramatic advance to the World Series after they completed a 6-4 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game Four of the National League Championship Series.
The Brewers overturned a four-run deficit at Dodger Stadium to seal a 4-0 series sweep and claim their first National League pennant. Braun’s reaction followed a landmark result for the franchise, which had not reached the World Series since 1982.
Los Angeles appeared in control after Shohei Ohtani’s three-run home run put the Dodgers 4-0 ahead in the second inning. Milwaukee responded with six unanswered runs, including Garrett Mitchell’s go-ahead solo homer in the sixth.
David Hamilton added an insurance home run in the ninth before Aaron Ashby completed the victory with three scoreless innings. The Brewers’ comeback ended the Dodgers’ bid for a third consecutive World Series title.
Milwaukee will now host the Fall Classic for the first time in 44 years. The club’s only previous World Series appearance came in 1982, when it competed as a member of the American League.
