Protesters marched through downtown San Jose on Thursday to demand an end to what they described as the United States’ war against Iran, marking 200 days since the conflict began.
The rally was held at the intersection of East Santa Clara Street and South Fourth Street before demonstrators took their message on to the streets, chanting against the war.
The action was organised by the San José Peace & Justice Center, which called for an end to the conflict and for public money to be redirected from military spending towards people’s needs.
Organisers also opposed US aid to Israel as part of the demonstration, which was held amid continuing tensions over the conflict and its regional impact.
