Britney Spears was spotted having lunch in New York City while attempting to keep a low profile, using a scarf to cover her face as she dined at RinTinTin.
The pop star spent just over an hour inside the restaurant before appearing to leave with food to go. Her bodyguards were later seen carrying a brown paper bag from the venue.
Eyewitnesses said Spears drank three glasses of red wine during her visit. It was not clear whether she had been recognised inside the restaurant.
After getting into a car, Spears was seen smoking cigarettes in the back seat while recording video on her mobile phone.
She appeared focused on filming something as the car pulled away, although it was unclear what she was capturing.
