Robert Citrone, the Pittsburgh Steelers co-owner, has asked a Pennsylvania judge for an emergency order preventing Amy Blunt from discussing their court dispute with the press or on social media.
Legal documents filed by Citrone’s lawyers allege that Blunt, described as the mother of his three-year-old son, posted online claiming she had won an appeal allowing her to question Citrone, his wife and his children under oath.
The documents say the post also referred to Citrone’s wealth, claiming he was worth about $250 million when his children were young “compared to billions now”. Blunt allegedly wrote that her son, Luca, had to “fight for basic needs”.
After Citrone’s lawyer contacted Blunt’s legal representative about the post, she allegedly emailed her own lawyer to say she intended to launch a TikTok account the following week.
In that email, according to the documents, Blunt said she planned to discuss what she described as Citrone’s “infidelity and his refusal to support Luca”. The allegations have not been independently established in the material available.
Citrone’s lawyers are asking the court to bar Blunt from giving information about the case to journalists, newspapers or users of social media.
Dispute over financial information
The application comes amid a wider legal battle in which Blunt is seeking Citrone’s financial records, including tax returns and income statements.
The court documents say Luca has been diagnosed with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome and other health problems, and requires a wheelchair.
A judge granted Blunt’s request on Monday to question Citrone, his wife and his children about their standard of living. The depositions are intended to help determine the family’s financial circumstances, according to the documents.
