Two men were injured and face arrest after a pursuit involving a stolen vehicle ended in a rollover crash on Interstate 5 near Lynnwood, Washington, on Monday evening.
Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies began chasing the vehicle shortly before 8pm after locating it near a Home Depot at the junction of Airport Road and Highway 99 in Everett.
The suspects drove on to the southbound lanes of I-5 before the vehicle entered the central reservation near 164th Street South-west. It then overturned.
Both men suffered minor injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Deputies said they would be arrested once medically cleared.
No one else was injured in the crash or during the pursuit, according to authorities.
The incident caused the high-occupancy vehicle lanes on I-5 to remain closed for more than an hour while emergency crews dealt with the wreck.
