Actor Travis Cure is defending a herpes lawsuit brought by an alleged former partner, who claims he gave her the sexually transmitted infection after failing to disclose that he had it.
The woman says she began dating Cure in August 2024 and had no sexual partners other than him between then and the filing of her case. She alleges that Cure knew he had genital herpes but did not tell her before they had sex.
She is suing the star of The Oval for negligence and battery.
Cure acknowledges that the pair dated and had sex, but says their relationship was not exclusive. He maintains that he always used a condom and disputes her account of the circumstances.
In his response, Cure also claims the woman, who lives in Chicago, was having sex with other men during the period in question.
The actor says he knew about his herpes and claims his former partner knew too. He alleges that she only complained after he ended their relationship and began seeing someone else.
Cure further argues that she cannot prove he gave her herpes, citing what he described as her “promiscuous sexual practices”.
The case remains ongoing.
