More than 25,000 Aitjunz eight-drawer dressers sold through Amazon, Wayfair, Temu and Walmart have been recalled in the US over fears they could tip over and trap or seriously injure children.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said the units are unstable if they are not secured to a wall and breach mandatory safety requirements for clothing storage furniture under the STURDY Act. The recall was issued on 24 September 2026. Aitjunz dresser recall affects five colours
The wooden dressers were available in black, white, brown, oak and cream. They have eight drawers, measure about 15.55 inches wide by 55.11 inches long and 30.78 inches tall, and weigh roughly 129lb.
Consumers can identify affected products by checking the packaging for one of five SKU numbers: LDQMFJ8D-BR, LDQMFJ8D-CM, LDQMFJ8D-WH, LDQMFJ8D-BK or LDQMFJ8D-NA.
About 25,073 units were sold online between May 2025 and July 2026 for between $230 and $270. They were manufactured in China by Dongguan Meiying Sen Smart Home Co and sold by Maizhe International Trade, which trades as Yuyitop.
The CPSC said it has received one report of a dresser tipping over, although no injuries have been reported.
What customers should do
Owners should stop using the dresser immediately if it has not been anchored to a wall and move it to a place children cannot reach, the safety commission said.
Yuyitop is offering a free retrofit kit containing counterweight blocks and installation instructions.
