Troye Sivan has released the music video for “FF”, the latest track from his fourth studio album, She’s the Best, featuring Swedish actor Felix Mayr as his love interest.
The song’s title is an abbreviation of “F***ing Forever” and explores Sivan’s imagined future with a man he has not yet met. The video was filmed on Fire Island and directed by Gordon von Steiner, a longstanding collaborator of the singer.
Sivan described “FF” as “an undying love song to a man I don’t know yet”, saying it captures “how lonely it is to love someone who isn’t here yet”. He added that, while the track may sound like a vow, “it’s really a wish”.
Troye Sivan says ‘FF’ is a love song without a specific subject
In an interview, Sivan said the song was not written about a particular person. “I don’t know who I am in love with yet,” he said, explaining that he wanted the track to carry the emotional weight of longing.
He described it as a love song that “feels like it drags you through the mud with it” and said he was particularly proud of the lyrics.
The chorus centres on Sivan’s vision of an enduring relationship, with the singer repeating the phrase “me and my baby” alongside the song’s central promise of being together “forever”.
