Curtin University’s vice-chancellor is resisting a controversial Western Australian Government plan to merge three public universities into a single mega institution.
The proposal would bring Curtin, Murdoch University and the University of Western Australia together. It has raised concerns at Curtin and Murdoch, while UWA has aligned itself with the Government’s plan.
Curtin’s opposition places its vice-chancellor at the centre of the dispute over the proposed restructuring of Western Australia’s public universities.
