Von Scales, the husband of Trina Braxton, has died aged 58 in Atlanta, the Braxton family has announced.
A representative said: “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Von Scales, beloved husband of Trina Braxton.”
The family added: “The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers but is asking for privacy at this time as they navigate this unfortunate event.”
Sources close to the family said Mr Scales died at around 2am on Thursday. He had reportedly been experiencing heart-related problems, although his cause of death has not been confirmed.
Trina Braxton married Mr Scales in 2019, and their wedding was featured on the family’s reality television show, The Braxtons.
The marriage came a year after the death of Trina Braxton’s former husband, Gabriel Solis.
