Wilfried Zaha has reportedly been offered to Málaga as the former Manchester United and Crystal Palace winger considers his next move after leaving Charlotte FC.
The 33-year-old is available following the end of his loan spell in Major League Soccer, where he spent the past year and a half after joining Charlotte from Galatasaray.
Málaga are considering whether the Ivory Coast international would be a suitable addition as they assess experienced options to strengthen their forward line.
Wilfried Zaha offered to Málaga after productive MLS spell
Zaha’s time in Charlotte ended on June 30, with the club confirming in May that he would depart when his loan agreement expired.
He made 46 league and play-off appearances for Charlotte, registering 13 goals and 14 assists. Those figures suggest he remains capable of making a substantial attacking contribution despite moving into the latter stages of his career.
Málaga are understood to be exploring several free-agent possibilities, with former Manchester United striker Anthony Martial also reportedly offered to the Spanish club.
Zaha’s versatility could appeal to Málaga. He can operate on the left or move into a central role, while his experience at the highest level would add another dimension to their attack.
Any potential agreement would depend heavily on the financial terms. Zaha has earned significantly more during his career than Málaga would normally be expected to offer, meaning a move may require him to accept a substantial reduction.
Should the finances prove manageable, a short-term contract could give Málaga an experienced forward while offering Zaha a route back into European football.
