Adam Rickitt brought a touch of soap-star glamour to Manchester Village Pride on Sunday, taking to the stage in the city’s Gay Village and revealing a remarkably toned physique as he performed shirtless.
The 48-year-old former Coronation Street actor was pictured showing off his six-pack during his appearance at the four-day celebration, which returned to Manchester from Friday 28 to Monday 31 August.
Rickitt was among the performers listed for Sunday’s programme, alongside acts including Cascada, Kate Nash, Diana Vickers and Misha B. The event’s listings confirmed his place on the line-up for the day’s live entertainment in the Gay Village.
Best known to soap viewers for playing Nick Tilsley in Coronation Street, Rickitt has also pursued a career in music and live performance since leaving the ITV soap.
This year’s Manchester Village Pride was staged under a new community-led format, with performances and celebrations centred on the Gay Village throughout the August bank holiday weekend.
