Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott is being lined up as one of the biggest transfer targets of 2027, with the Cherries reportedly prepared to demand a fee of about £100 million.
The England international attracted strong interest during the summer, with Chelsea understood to have viewed him as a potential replacement for Enzo Fernandez. Bournemouth resisted the approaches and have kept hold of the 23-year-old beyond the transfer deadline.
However, the Daily Mirror reports that the club could be willing to cash in next year if their valuation is met. Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are also believed to have monitored Scott’s progress.
Chelsea reportedly saw a £64 million offer rejected in July, while Bournemouth made clear that they had no intention of selling one of their key players. The club’s stance was strengthened by qualification for the Europa League and the substantial income generated by previous player sales.
Scott’s contract situation could become an important factor in the future negotiations. He has entered the final two years of his current deal and, according to Sky Sports, has so far declined a number of offers to extend his terms.

Scott enjoyed an impressive 2025-26 campaign, featuring in 37 Premier League matches as Bournemouth secured sixth place. Opta records that he scored three goals and supplied one assist during the season.
His performances have also earned recognition from England. Scott received his first senior call-up in 2025 and was later invited to join the national team’s preparation camp ahead of the 2026 World Cup, although he is yet to make his senior debut.
Bournemouth will hope another strong season, particularly in European competition, increases Scott’s value rather than prompting him to push for a move. Yet the reported £100m price tag would represent a significant rise on the fee Chelsea were unwilling to pay this summer.
Scott remains an important part of Bournemouth’s young squad, but the growing interest from Premier League rivals means his future is likely to remain under close scrutiny throughout the 2026-27 season.
