Mikel Arteta has signed a new contract with Arsenal, describing his continued commitment to the club as a “privilege” and saying his family shares a special bond with the team and its supporters.
The agreement was confirmed by Arsenal, with the manager expressing his gratitude to Stan and Josh Kroenke for their trust and support. Arteta said he was determined to continue working with people who want the best for the club.
“It’s a privilege to commit my future to the club and to continue to work with exceptional people who want the best for Arsenal,” he said.
Arteta added: “This club is unique, its character and the way it makes you feel, and I have a great sense of privilege that our journey together will continue.”

The Spaniard said the club had already built a lasting connection during his time in charge, while insisting that there was more to achieve together.
“We have already built a special bond and created memories that will last a lifetime, and what is so exciting is that this is only the beginning of what we can achieve together,” Arteta said.
He described the contract as a proud moment for himself and his family, adding that he felt the support of Arsenal’s fans.
“This is such a proud moment for me and my family. I feel the love and respect from our fantastic supporters, and they have mine – and ours – in return,” he said.
Arsenal are Premier League champions and reached the Champions League final last season, marking a highly successful campaign under Arteta.
The manager took charge during a difficult period for the club, but Arsenal have since undergone a significant transformation. The new deal means Arteta will continue leading the team as they seek to build on that progress.
