Australian rock singer Angry Anderson has died aged 79 after suffering a cardiac arrest during Rose Tattoo’s final European tour last month.
The medical emergency forced the cancellation of several dates. Anderson died in Australia on Monday night, according to a joint statement from his family and the band.
“Angry was a devoted father, and much-loved member of his friends, bandmates and the wider music and entertainment community,” the statement said.
“His loss will be deeply felt by all those who knew and loved him both here in Australia and overseas.”
The family and Rose Tattoo members asked for privacy and said they would not be giving interviews as they grieve.
