Central Florida residents can visit the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex for as little as $21 under a limited-time ticket promotion running across four counties.
The Mercury Offer covers one-day admission at $21 for adults and $16 for children aged three to 11, compared with standard prices of $77 and $67 respectively.
Who qualifies for the Kennedy Space Center discount?
Residents of Seminole and Volusia counties can use the offer until Sunday, September 20. The discount then moves to Orange and Osceola county residents from Monday, September 21, to Sunday, September 27.
Tickets must be bought in person on the day of the visit, either at Will Call or at one of the visitor complex’s information areas. Guests will need to show proof of residency, such as a driving licence or utility bill.
Visitors taking advantage of the Mercury Offer are also being encouraged to support Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida by bringing canned food or other non-perishable items to donate.
Children admitted free during September
A separate promotion is offering free one-day admission to children aged three to 11 throughout September when at least one adult ticket is purchased online.
Up to three complimentary child tickets can be claimed for each adult admission, although blackout dates apply, including certain launch-viewing days and special events. The offer cannot be combined with other discounts.
The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, on Merritt Island in Brevard County, includes the Space Shuttle Atlantis, the Rocket Garden, Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex and the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame.
Admission also includes the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour and access to the Apollo/Saturn V Center, alongside exhibitions charting the history and future of the US space programme.
