For most women, giving birth is an extremely special experience.
For self-proclaimed ‘Disney adult’ Jacqueline Skelton, it was extra special because she welcomed her son while watching the fireworks at Magic Kingdom.
Skelton, 27, from Championsgate, Florida, told the Daily Mail that she’s a ‘huge Disney fan’ and visits the Orlando-based theme park two or three times a week.
When she was choosing a hospital to give birth at last year, she opted for the one her husband, a respiratory therapist, worked at.
It was an added bonus that it was located in Celebration, Florida, the community designed by the Walt Disney Company, and boasted views of Disney World out the windows.
‘The hospital I gave birth in is actually where my husband works,’ she explained during a chat with the Daily Mail, adding that she had no idea beforehand that she’d be able to see the fireworks from her hospital room.
‘I should probably make it clear that this is a real, working hospital and people shouldn’t try to become a patient here just for a fireworks view,’ she stressed.
‘It would be much cheaper to actually go to the Disney parks and see them there. Probably a lot less painful as well.’

Back in December, she gave birth at a hospital in Celebration, Florida – the community designed by the Walt Disney Company – so she welcomed her son while watching the fireworks at Magic Kingdom
In the middle of labor when the fireworks started going off, Skelton described the moment as ’emotional.’
‘The second I saw the fireworks, I instantly felt at peace. It was a very healing experience for me.’ she said.
‘It was definitely helpful between contractions to be able to watch the fireworks. Labor still sucks, but all in all, it was a really reassuring moment and I’m very grateful to have had that experience.’
Skelton, whose son Bowen Everett Skelton was born on December 22, 2025, explained that Disney means a lot to her and her family.
Not only are some of her earliest memories of Disney trips as a kid, but she now gets to share it with her own kids.
‘Some of my earliest memories are of Disney trips as a kid. The joy and magic feeling it brought me was something I will never forget,’ she gushed.
‘I would consider myself a Disney adult, but not in the way that most people assume.
‘While I do love all the merchandise, events, shows and more, Disney for me is about the experience and connection that it creates for my family.

‘I’ve loved watching my children experience the magic for the first time.
‘I’m a big believer that we should take any and all opportunities to connect with our children and family, whether that be as simple as reading a book together or as grand as twirling in front of the castle together.
‘So yes, I’m a Disney Adult, but I’d consider myself a Disney Adult for my family and not just myself.’
She recently went viral after she shared a video of the fireworks going off from her hospital bed to Instagram.
‘I’ll never forget that my view between contractions was the Magic Kingdom fireworks because I gave birth at the “Disney” hospital,’ she wrote in a text overlay.
‘A little Disney magic before meeting my greatest adventure,’ she added in the caption.
