Donald Trump Jr and Kimberly Guilfoyle have not spoken for nearly two years, despite Guilfoyle maintaining ties to the Trump administration until days ago.
The former couple ended their engagement in 2024 and, according to a person familiar with the situation, have had no contact since. They are not understood to have fallen out publicly, but instead went their separate ways.
The disclosure comes as Guilfoyle’s diplomatic career has ended amid allegations of misconduct. She resigned as US ambassador to Greece after President Donald Trump asked her to step down.
Trump has also sought to distance himself from his son’s former fiancée. Speaking to reporters, he said Guilfoyle was “never a member of his family” and described her as someone who dated his son “a long time ago”.
Among the allegations against Guilfoyle is a claim that she asked a political donor to settle a 100,000-dollar American Express bill in return for access to administration officials.
Guilfoyle has denied wrongdoing and said she would defend her reputation. She also reportedly told White House officials that damaging text messages allegedly sent to donor Eric Deters had been fabricated using artificial intelligence.
Deters has insisted the messages are genuine.
Trump Jr and Guilfoyle began dating in 2018 and became engaged before ending their relationship in 2024. Trump Jr has since married Bettina Anderson, with the couple marrying in May.
