Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus have sparked engagement rumours after the actress was photographed wearing a large diamond ring on her left hand.
Hurley, 61, appeared to draw attention to the jewellery in a series of behind-the-scenes photographs from her television series, The ‘Burbs. In one image, she posed in a bathrobe with her left hand clearly visible.
The actress and the country singer, 65, made their relationship public in April 2025, having first met while working on the 2022 film Christmas in Paradise.
People described as insiders have claimed that Cyrus has proposed after more than a year of dating. One source said: “She’s filming The ‘Burbs; I hardly think this ring is a prop.”
There has been no confirmation of an engagement from the couple. Representatives for Hurley and Cyrus have been contacted for comment.
Cyrus appeared to add to the speculation in a post on Thursday, which included a ring emoji and the phrase: “Kinda has a ring to it.”
The singer was promoting a remix of Party’s in the Back, made with country-rock trio DELTONA, as well as an upcoming show in Phoenix with NASCAR.
“This is the most fertile solid ground I have stood on in a long time,” Cyrus wrote, before describing the remix’s performance and mentioning a 20th-anniversary special for I Want My Mullet Back.
He concluded: “I like seeing peoples dreams come true. I’m so excited for the show this weekend teaming up with NASCAR in Phoenix!!! Kinda has a ring to it,” alongside the ring emoji.
Hurley was previously married to businessman Arun Nayar. They separated in 2010 and divorced the following year. She also dated actor Hugh Grant for 13 years before their relationship ended in 2000.
She has a son, Damian, 24, with the late businessman Steve Bing.
Cyrus has been married three times. His former wives are Cindy Smith, Tish Cyrus and Firerose.
Hurley has previously described their relationship as an unlikely pairing, while saying that they share a preference for a quieter life away from cities. The couple divide their time between her farm in Herefordshire and his farm in Tennessee.
Speaking on the SheerLuxe podcast, Hurley joked that she and Cyrus had “identical hair” and were “actually like twins”, apart from his beard.
She said they had both spent much of their lives travelling for work and had moved away from cities, but added that they differed in their levels of organisation and eating habits.
