Google has increased the price of its Google TV Streamer 4K from $99 to $149, adding 50 dollars to the cost of the set-top box in the US.
The new price is listed on the Google Store and at Best Buy. Amazon, however, appeared to be continuing to sell the device at its original price.
Launched in 2024, the Google TV Streamer provides access to streaming services and also acts as a smart home hub, allowing compatible connected devices to be controlled through Google’s ecosystem.
The increase comes shortly after Google raised the prices of its Pixel 11 smartphones by $100 compared with the previous Pixel 10 range.
The streaming device is among a growing number of consumer electronics products facing higher prices as shortages of components put pressure on manufacturers and retailers. Other affected products have included laptops and games consoles.
