Erling Haaland has called on Manchester City supporters to remain united and positive amid uncertainty surrounding the club after reports of a guilty verdict in their Premier League financial case.
The Norway striker was speaking ahead of City’s Premier League meeting with Liverpool at Anfield, with potential sanctions and the futures of several key players under discussion.
Haaland said the team must focus on togetherness and enjoying their football despite developments away from the pitch.
“We have to stick together, stay with each other, stay positive,” he told Sky Sports.
“No matter what happens in life, we always have to have a smile, stay positive, look ahead, and try to win football games, enjoy the situation.”

The 26-year-old also addressed City supporters directly, encouraging them to continue backing the team as uncertainty surrounds the club’s future.
“We have to stick together, spread the love to each other, stick together, enjoy the ride, smile… I think they (the City fans) are gonna have a good time,” Haaland said.
The financial proceedings concern alleged breaches of Premier League regulations over several seasons between 2009 and 2018. Possible consequences could include substantial fines or sporting sanctions such as a points deduction, while more severe punishments have also been discussed.
The eventual outcome would depend on the disciplinary process and any subsequent appeals. The uncertainty has prompted questions about City’s long-term plans and the futures of some of their most valuable players.
Haaland has been linked with potential moves to Barcelona and Real Madrid, while Arsenal are also reported to be interested and prepared to make a significant investment if the striker becomes available.
There was no indication in Haaland’s comments that he is considering leaving the Etihad Stadium. His message instead centred on unity, positivity and the immediate objective of winning at Anfield.
