How to watch The Dropout for free
The Dropout is available to stream through Hulu or Disney+ memberships. Viewers without a membership can sign up for a three-day free trial.
The series follows Holmes’s transformation from ambitious entrepreneur to the disgraced chief executive of Theranos, the company that claimed its technology could carry out a wide range of blood tests using only a small amount of blood.
Theranos’s technology and business claims were later found to be misleading. Holmes was found guilty of defrauding investors in January 2022.
Hulu describes the series as a story of money, romance, tragedy and deception, examining how ambition and fame led to Holmes losing her status as the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire.
Seyfried received an Emmy, a Golden Globe and a Critics’ Choice award for her performance as Holmes.
Following the series’ release, the actor also addressed the possibility of a second season.
