Kendall Jenner has spoken about her sexuality and denied longstanding speculation that she and model Cara Delevingne were romantically involved.
Speaking on the October 15 episode of The Kardashians, Jenner, 30, recalled how the pair’s close friendship had prompted public questions about their relationship.
“We have been friends for a long time now — going on 11 or 12 years,” Jenner said. “She brought me under her wing — in a way — and made me feel really safe and welcome in the modeling world.”
Addressing the speculation directly, she added: “We should address this. It’s because of our love for each other. People think I’m a lesbian to this day. I’m not.”
Jenner said rumours that she and Delevingne had dated were untrue, while making clear that she had no objection to the idea of being with a woman.
“There’s definitely a rumor that her and I dated or something in the past, which is not true. Not that I would have anything wrong with dating Cara but we’ve just always been best buds,” she said. “I love Cara. She’s my sister and that never happened. For the record, I think being a lesbian would be fun and amazing.”
Jenner later joked that being a lesbian might be “fun and easier” because “men suck”. She also said: “By the way, I have nothing against having sex with Cara. I just have never had a desire to have sex with women. Never say never, right?”
Jenner is currently dating Jacob Elordi. The pair were recently seen showing affection in Paris while attending Fashion Week.
