The trial of Kewon White, the man accused of killing Dallas rapper MO3, entered its second week on Monday, August 31, 2026, as prosecutors continued presenting evidence over the alleged murder-for-hire plot.
White is accused of ambushing Melvin Noble, known professionally as MO3, on Interstate 35 in Dallas in November 2020. Prosecutors allege that rival rapper Yella Beezy, whose real name is Markies Conway, hired White to carry out the killing after a long-running feud.
Conway has pleaded not guilty to capital murder and denies any involvement. A third defendant, Devin Brown, also faces a capital murder charge in connection with Noble’s death.
Opening statements and early testimony focused on the shooting on the Dallas highway. Prosecutor Tommy Adams told jurors that White was the alleged gunman, while defence lawyer Myra McIntosh argued that the state’s case relied on speculation and flawed conclusions. Another witness, neurosurgeon Randall Graham, told the court that a bullet struck his windscreen as Noble ran alongside his vehicle. Graham said he saw a masked man pursuing Noble, while Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel testified that Noble showed no signs of life after they arrived. White is already serving a federal prison sentence after pleading guilty to possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
