Kyle Sandilands has been served with a subpoena for documents as part of ARN Media’s legal battle with his former radio partner Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.
The 55-year-old presenter was handed the papers by his manager, Bruno Bouchet, during his subscription radio show on Wednesday, leaving him visibly uncomfortable.
Sandilands initially threw the notice into a bin and joked: “Just tell them I’m overseas or something. Is that what happens? How do you get out of this?”
When newsreader Brooklyn Ross asked whether ARN wanted him to assist its case against Henderson, Bouchet replied: “Yeah.”
“Well, that makes me very uncomfortable,” Sandilands responded. “I don’t feel comfortable saying anything that may affect what she’s got going on.”
The subpoena comes as Henderson pursues a claim for at least A$82.25 million against ARN in the Federal Court, alleging that her contract was unlawfully terminated after she raised concerns about bullying and psychological safety at work.
ARN has denied the allegations and said it intends to defend the proceedings. The Federal Court has established a public-interest online file covering the connected cases, although Sandilands’ separate proceedings against the broadcaster were discontinued in June following a reported settlement.
Henderson’s contract was terminated after a heated broadcast exchange with Sandilands on 20 February 2026. Court documents allege that she had previously complained about his conduct and described their working relationship as an “abusive relationship”.
Her claim includes reference to a medical report by Dr Jonathan Phillips, which states that she is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder allegedly arising from “ongoing bullying perpetrated by Sandilands” and ARN’s alleged failure to provide appropriate care and protection.
Henderson has alleged in a sworn statement that Sandilands belittled and humiliated her, leaving her anxious and emotionally unsafe at work. She said the alleged conduct had worsened from 2023 onwards.
Sandilands recently said he broke down in tears after learning of Henderson’s diagnosis and insisted that claims made in the court documents bore little resemblance to his recollection of their time working together.
“It was really very, very, very upsetting to read some terrible things like that about yourself,” he said. “And obviously, it’s her truth. But that is so against what the reality of what happened was.”
He described the allegations as “soul destroying” and said he would never recover from being accused of behaviour he believed was the opposite of his experience.
