Lethal Shooter has set his sights on training Barack Obama, naming the former US president among a list of high-profile clients he would like to coach on the basketball court.
The coach, whose real name is Chris Matthews, discussed his ambitions during an appearance on the TMZ Sports set, where he was asked about celebrities and public figures he had yet to work with.
Matthews first mentioned Mike Tyson and Samuel L Jackson before turning to Stevie Wonder. “Trust me, bro. He can make a jump shot,” he said, questioning whether the musician could succeed from the court through his ability to listen and follow rhythm.
He then named Obama alongside Oprah Winfrey, before adding actor Denzel Washington to his wish list.
Matthews said: “Barack Obama, come on. Oprah.” He followed it with: “Denzel.”
The proposed sessions would add to a client list that already includes Justin Bieber and Michael B Jordan. Matthews has also worked with NBA players including Jaylen Brown and Anthony Davis.
His message to Obama was straightforward: “Let’s hoop, Mr. President!”
