A man has died after being shot during a reported home invasion in Glen Alpine, in Sydney’s south-west.
Emergency services were called to a property on Mount Sugarloaf Drive at about 3.40am on Tuesday, where officers from the Campbelltown City Police Area Command found a man with a gunshot wound.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, died at the scene. Police said he had not been formally identified.
Officers were told the alleged offenders had fled shortly before police arrived. No arrests have been announced.
A crime scene has been established as detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting, with assistance from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
