Manchester United have been handed a potential late opportunity to sign Eduardo Camavinga, with Real Madrid reportedly prepared to consider offers for the France international midfielder.
Camavinga is understood to be valued at around £43 million, although no formal bid has been confirmed. The Athletic reports that Madrid are aware of interest from several Premier League clubs as the summer transfer window reaches its final day.
The 23-year-old has been linked with United for several weeks, and the club’s interest comes despite their significant recruitment in midfield this summer. Carlos Baleba, Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans have all arrived at Old Trafford.

Spanish broadcaster Cadena SER previously reported that Manchester United had funds available to strengthen at full-back and in central midfield, with Camavinga among the names being considered. The same report suggested the proposed figure could be close to €50 million, equivalent to approximately £43 million.
Real Madrid’s willingness to listen to offers appears to have increased the possibility of a late move. The club have not indicated that Camavinga is certain to leave, but reports suggest he is not regarded as untouchable and that a suitable proposal could be examined.
Camavinga has made more than 200 appearances for Real Madrid since joining from Rennes in 2021. The club’s official profile describes him as a midfielder capable of operating across the middle third, underlining the versatility that has made him attractive to Premier League sides.
He started the campaign among Madrid’s substitutes before playing the full 90 minutes in a 4-0 victory over Malaga. That performance was followed by praise from manager Jose Mourinho, who highlighted Camavinga’s contribution after the match.
For United, the Frenchman would offer defensive power, mobility and the ability to cover more than one position. His arrival could also provide greater freedom for the club’s more creative midfielders, although the size of the existing squad means any agreement would need to make sense both financially and tactically.
With the transfer deadline approaching, Manchester United must decide whether to pursue a deal for Camavinga or focus on the players already brought in during a busy summer window.
