Arsenal’s reported transfer interest in Luca Weinhandl has been played down by Sturm Graz manager Fabio Ingolitsch, who said he was relaxed about the speculation surrounding the 17-year-old midfielder.
Weinhandl has made a strong impression since breaking into the Sturm Graz first team, attracting attention from Arsenal and Aston Villa. The teenager’s rapid emergence has led to growing talk about a possible move away from the Austrian club.

Ingolitsch said Sturm Graz were not concerned by the rumours and remained focused on the player’s development.
“These days, you can feed so much information to people that rumours start to circulate. We don’t care,” he said.
The manager acknowledged Weinhandl’s ability, adding: “We know what we’ve got in Luca. He’s a highly talented player who, at 17, plays as if he’s already played, I don’t know how many international matches.”
Ingolitsch also stressed how highly the club regard the midfielder and suggested he would remain an important part of their plans this season.
“He’s a very special lad; we know that, and yet we can all put it into perspective, we’re very happy that he’s with us. He’ll be a huge help to us this year,” he said.
It remains unclear how advanced Arsenal’s interest in Weinhandl is, but the transfer speculation is likely to continue as the youngster establishes himself at Sturm Graz.
