Prosecutors are continuing to present their case against Kewon White, the alleged gunman in the 2020 killing of Dallas rapper MO3, in a trial centred on claims of a murder-for-hire plot involving fellow rapper Yella Beezy.
White is accused of ambushing Melvin Noble, known professionally as MO3, on Interstate 35 in Dallas on November 11, 2020. Authorities allege Noble was shot after White approached him on the busy highway. A bystander was also wounded but survived. Prosecutors claim Yella Beezy, whose real name is Markies Conway, hired White to carry out the killing after a long-running feud between the two Dallas artists. Conway has pleaded not guilty to capital murder and denied any involvement.
White is the first of three defendants to face trial in the case. Jury selection concluded on August 25, 2026, and the proceedings are expected to last about two weeks.
